The spring and summer seasons bloom with the busiest wedding months. Love is in the air brimming with inspiration; Yes, even under the sweltering heat of a New York summer! I skip my personal dress to impress; Instead, I roll up my sleeves and get back to work on new creations for more beautiful brides-to-be!
Then again, I am always working year-round and love finding new inspiration in all four seasons; don’t you?
As a kid I would spend countless hours sketching and designing for my favorite style icons – from Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O and Marilyn Monroe to Charlie’s Angels (and my first grade teacher who I swear was a dead ringer for one of the Angels). In addition too women’s fashion, I also discovered a passion for art direction while watching classic films and many iconic TV shows.
My big question then was: “How does this 6 year old fashion superhero, wearing a Winnie-the-Pooh tee and OshKosh corduroy shorts, design for and transform all real life women into silver screen icons?” The answer: “I have to grow up fast and move to some place called New York City!”
I started my career as a fashion designer 23 years ago; while simultaneously studying at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology. Since then, I have directed some of the top ateliers in the NYC fashion district. While training and working with the best teams in the industry over the years – I have designed, styled and pattern–cut for many notable women’s brands.
When taking a break from the design table, I like to indulge in my other passions – film, literature, music, art, fitness, travel, languages, cooking, good wine, a great scotch and photography. These categories play a key role on my inspiration-board. Keeping busy (and laughing daily) is the fountain of youth!
Congratulations on your engagement! I can’t wait to meet you!
Much Love,
