The lifestyle and fashion of the late-1960s pretty much set the tone for the entire 1970’s. This has always influenced me – perhaps because a lot of my favorite film and TV icons became “icons” during this decade. It is also the period that launched the relaxed read-to-wear fashion world that we live in today. These designs were inspired by the raw photo-art of William Eggleston in conjunction with the socialite and celebrity jet set glamour of that time.
The fluidity of great quality jerseys and soft-drape silks expand the design process through an endless path of beautiful possibilities; that is why these fabrics have remained a staple in women’s high fashion since the early days of 20th century haute couture.
