This bride’s wish was to have her wedding dressed designed with her engagement ring referenced as inspiration.  The ring consisted of black diamonds and red rubies.  This played a key role in using color-blocking and design to balance her figure proportions.

The two challenges were camouflaging an ample bust size (DD) and a short–waisted/straight shape upper body down through the lower body.  We were able to beautifully showcase the dominant key color, ruby, on the bodice while simultaneously bringing down her cup-size visually.  The same was accomplished with an asymmetrical black midriff from the under-bust down to the hip level in order to shape-in and elongate her waistline.  The result was a beautiful gown inspired by a splash of 1950’s movie star glamour and a touch of the Parisian belle époque.
